A new schoolbus!

We were able to buy a new bus!! We have been saving long and hard together with the Rehabilitation Center of HOH and we want to thank everyone who has contributed to our new bus. Pre school for our youngest children

Sharmini has arranged that the youngest children of Home of Hope can go to a pre-school in the neighborhood and they do it proudly: every morning they are brought to school in their uniforms with the tuktuk. The language of instruction at the pre-school is English. This gives the children a good start for when they go to the elementary school.

Chickens and eggs!

Home of Hope keeps chickens: a total of 30 we think. These chickens ensure the kitchen of fresh eggs every day. Every morning, one of the older boys picks up the eggs from the chicken coop. The number of eggs is carefully written down in the administration. All eggs are used in the preparation of food for the children of Home of Hope.

Tamil party at Home of Hope

The tamil population of Sri Lanka has regular celebrations. Of course the children of Home of Hope love to participate. Visit of a cricket hero

Big cricket hero, Kumar Sangakkara - the best cricket player in Sri Lanka according to the children of Home of Hope - visited end October.
